Sharon Summerall is a 200 hour Kripalu Yoga Teacher
Sharon's 200 hour training started in late February,
2005 at Kripalu Center in Stockbridge & Lenox, Massachusetts and was
completed in three - ten day sessions ending in June 2005. The third day
of the first session of training it snowed, what a surprise for Sharon
who had never seen snow before.
At left is the front of Kripalu Center with four inches
of fresh snow. Her classmates coached her in catching snowflakes on her
tongue, a vital skill for a yoga teacher. The days were long, with
practice and study well into the night. At right Sharon is preparing for
her the next days class.
The second session in late April was more hospitable
with leaves budding on the trees and flowers all around Kripalu Center.
At right, the early morning sunrise over Stockbridge Bowl and at left
Sharon in one of the fields of daisies. More and more classes
with practice teaching a long road to becoming a Kripalu Yoga
Teacher..
The third session in June and hot weather for the
Berkshires. With the good weather many classes were held outdoors. At
left one of Dr. Jeff's classes during a break. Practice teaching every
day this session, graduation is coming soon now.
The last evening at Kripalu the student teachers put on
an talent show for their teachers, and assistants with many families
present. At right Sharon, as Roxy, a yoga diva, and that's Guido on the
left, not really into this yoga thing at the senior's resort.
The next morning Sharon graduated to carry on the
traditions of Kripalu Yoga in a lovely private ceremony. At left is Sharon with her training teachers Tarika and
Martha. |
